Job description:
Perform
Oracle Administration
Technical Skills
5+ years experience in Oracle database administration in production environments.
Capable of performing Database Administration tasks independently in Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g & 11g
Installation of oracle software
Database setup, database upgrades, space management, backup & recovery using either SQL Backtrack or RMAN, database cloning
Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, security and database corruption issues in a critical production environment
Good knowledge of SQL, PLSQL and its tunning.
Operational knowledge in RAC/ASM, Grid Control Management.
Proficient in Standby and DataGuard technology
Setup and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Proficient in Unix system administration relevant to Oracle database management. Strong scripting skills in a Unix shell environment is an added advantage.
Experience in supporting large business critical oracle databases in a complex global distributed environment.
Able to work well under pressure, handling the workload with minimal supervision.
Excellent level of both spoken and written English.
Willingness to work in 24 X 7 shift work environment
Knowledge of Exadata, Linux, BMC SQL BackTrack are an added advantage.
